*The Talent Show is here! Come and see all the amazing talent East High has to offer. The show will be in Hawks Auditorium on Friday, January 24th at 7pm. Tickets are available for only $5 at the door or in the cafeteria during lunch hours. Come to the talent show and vote for your favorite performer. The audience votes for the winner so make sure you come to the Talent Show on Friday the 24th.

ECO club is kicking off their Smencil fundraiser! See any ECO Club member for your favorite scented pencils made from recycled newspaper. Cost is $1 for 2 weeks only! Proceeds benefit the Irwin Foundation to help the animals affected by the Australian wildfires.

Jay Cee Gonzalez was the 170 pound champion and was voted most outstanding wrestler of the tournament! Latron Cannon, Jose Ortiz, Orlando Garcia, and Zamir Castanon have also had strong performances to begin the season. Come check out your wrestling tomcats this Thursday as they host Glenbard East starting at 5:30.

Please make sure that you have turned in all of your community service hours to either your counselor or Ms. Cohoon in the Freshmen Center Office. If you have 120 or more hours, you receive a silver cord for graduation and it is noted on your official transcript. The deadline to turn in your hours is Thursday, April 10, 2020. There are NO exceptions to this deadline, so get your hours turned in. If you aren’t sure how many hours you have or want to learn how to earn more, check with your counselor or Ms. Cohoon.

*The girls varsity basketball team defeated Streamwood Tuesday by the score of 64 to 48. The Ladycats are off to a 3-0 start in the Upstate 8 Conference. The team was lead in rebounding by the Griffin twins, Alicia and Alliyah. They both had 6 boards apiece! The Tomcats were able to dominate the game with a great team effort on defense, lead by Toni Slater. Toni did an outstanding job on Streamwood’s all conference guard. The Ladycats will be in action again tonight at Bartlett. Both teams are undefeated in conference play. Great job Tomcats, and good luck tonight against Bartlett.

*The girls varsity basketball team defeated Streamwood Tuesday by the score of 64 to 48. The Ladycats are off to a 3-0 start in the Upstate 8 Conference. The team was lead in rebounding by the Griffin twins, Alicia and Alliyah. They both had 6 boards apiece! The Tomcats were able to dominate the game with a great team effort on defense, lead by Toni Slater. Toni did an outstanding job on Streamwood’s all conference guard. The Ladycats will be in action again tonight at Bartlett. Both teams are undefeated in conference play. Great job Tomcats, and good luck tonight against Bartlett.
