Welcome to East Aurora High School Class of 2024

Mr. Simpson, Principal of East Aurora High School, welcomes the class of 2024 in this presentation. 

Course Information

The video links will provide information on the course content information for our core classes.  Each presentation is given by either the Division Chair who oversees that course, or our Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning.

Pre-AP Objectives

Ms. Brinkman, Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning, provides a brief overview of the key objectives of the Pre-AP courses/framework.

Pre-AP World History and Geography

Mr. Marten, Division Chair for World Cultures, provides a brief overview of Pre-AP World History and Geography course.

Pre-AP English I

Mr. Geocaris, Division Chair for English and Fine Arts, provides a brief overview of the Pre-AP English I course.

Pre-AP Biology

Mrs. Martensen, Division Chair for Science/FACS/CTE, provides a brief overview of the Pre-AP Biology course.

Pre-AP Algebra I and Pre-AP Geometry with Statistics

Mr. Cepeda, Division Chair for Math and Business, provides a brief overview of our two Pre-AP Math courses.  The majority of freshmen will take Pre-AP Algebra I.  Our Freshmen who already took Algebra I in 8^th grade will take the Pre-AP Geometry with Statistics course this year.

Reading and Physical Education/Health

Ms. Brinkman, Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning, provides an overview of both our Reading and Physical Education courses.

Student Services (counselors, social workers)

Mrs. Reyes, Assistant Principal of Student Services, provides an overview of information relating to our Student Services Department.  Mrs. Reyes provides information about the building counselors, social workers, and other staff who are here to support students in their transition to East High and progress to graduation.

Student Services (Credits)

Mrs. Reyes, Assistant Principal of Student Services, provides an overview of credit requirements and a successful plan for graduation.

Remote Learning Resources

Mr. Ward, Assistant Principal of Operations, provides information on a variety of remote learning resources that are available to support students and parents.

Coursework, Schedule and Meal Information

Mrs. Kuyper, Associate Principal, provides a recap of coursework, outlines the schedule for the fall, and provides information on meals in this presentation.

Athletics

Mr. Torres, Athletic Director, provides an overview of athletic information for the 2020-2021 School Year.
