If you are under the age of 16 you cannot legally work without being issued a Workers Permit. In order to be issued a Workers Permit, you must fill out the attached form, which includes 3 sections. The Student section includes your demographic information. The Parent section asks for parental permission. The Employer section MUST be filled out by your future employer. You cannot be issued a Workers Permit if you do not first have an Employer seeking to hire you.

In addition to the successful completion of this form, you must also acquire a Certificate of Physical Fitness provided by your doctor and proof of age (can be school transcript). Once you can provide the completed form, Certificate of Physical Fitness, and proof of age (can typically be provided by school at the same time the permit is issued), the Workers Permit can be issued by East Aurora High School. Typically Workers Permits are issued by the secretary in the School Counseling Office. If school is remote, or not in session, please call (630) 299-8000 first and clarify if you can receive the Workers Permit from either the Counseling Office or Main Office at that time.
