After School Supports begin Monday, September 20, in the library from 3:30-4:30 PM. Support/tutoring is available Monday through Thursday in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading. World Language support is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will also be ESL/Bilingual and Special Education support available. The Tomcat College and Career Center (CCC) is online to explore various colleges and careers, investigate scholarship and financial aid opportunities, and see the full calendar of CCC visitors, programming and events. The CCC itself is open every day during all lunch periods and staffed by members of the EAHS student services team. On Wednesday, May 23, East Aurora High School (EAHS) held their annual Top 10% Banquet where students in the Top 10% of the graduating class have an opportunity to be recognized and acknowledge a staff member who has motivated and inspired them to excel. This year the banquet was held at Belle Salle Banquets in Aurora and over 70 students and their families attended. Each nominated staff member contributed a statement about the students that selected them. The students themselves, designed a slide with pictures of themselves and a few sentences on why they selected their particular faculty member to represent them at the event. The slides ran on a loop on large screens throughout the event. Each student was called up by organizers, Ken Gerk and Lisa Kendall, to be individually recognized, at which time, the faculty member of they invited placed a medallion around their neck. Students also a received a framed photo that included their slide and the statement from their selected faculty member.
