Class of '24 Senior Night on Oct. 12Noche de Senior por del Clase del \'24 en el 12 de octubre

At 6 PM on October 12, East Aurora High School will host Senior Night for the Tomcat Class of 2024 and their parents. Senior Night is an event intended to “help seniors and their parents understand what they need to be focusing on in their last year so that they are prepared for whatever their post-secondary plans may be, ” says school counselor Karina Ruiz.

The event will consist of presentations from EAHS counseling staff, college transition advisors from Waubonsee Community College, and Financial Aid experts from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. The presentations will be followed by a Question and Answer Panel, where the presenters will be joined by some recent EA grads to answer audience questions and share aspects of their experience.

Throughout the evening, college prizes will be raffled off to students and their families. After the panel, tables will be set up in the Atrium, where families can ask additional questions and receive supplementary information about the various topics discussed in the evening’s program. The event will end at 8 PM. All presentations will be offered in Spanish and English. The Spanish presentation will be in the Auditorium, whereas the presentation in the Little Theatre will be in English.

Clase de la Noche de último año del 24 el 12 de octubre a las 6 p. m. del 12 de octubre, East Aurora High School organizará la Noche de último año para la promoción Tomcat de 2024 y sus padres. Senior Night es un evento destinado a “ayudar a los estudiantes de último año y a sus padres a comprender en qué deben concentrarse durante su último año para estar preparados para cualquiera que sean sus planes postsecundarios”, dice la consejera escolar Karina Ruiz.

El evento consistirá en presentaciones del personal de consejería de EAHS, asesores de transición universitaria de Waubonsee Community College y expertos en ayuda financiera de la Comisión de Asistencia Estudiantil de Illinois. Las presentaciones serán seguidas por un panel de preguntas y respuestas, donde a los presentadores se unirán algunos graduados recientes de EA para responder preguntas de la audiencia y compartir aspectos de su experiencia. A lo largo de la noche, se rifarán premios universitarios entre los estudiantes y sus familias. Después del panel, se instalarán mesas en el Atrio, donde las familias podrán hacer preguntas adicionales y recibir información complementaria sobre los diversos temas discutidos en el programa de la noche.

El evento finalizará a las 8 p.m. Todas las presentaciones se ofrecerán en español e inglés. La presentación en español será en el Auditorio, mientras que la presentación en el Pequeño Teatro será en inglés.
