Fox Valley Career Center course offerings for the Class of '19Fox Valley Career Center course offerings for the Class of '19

Members of the EAHS Class of 2019 will be offered the opportunity to pursue new career-based coursework through a partnership with the Fox Valley Career Center (FVCC).  The courses will be focused in three different career areas: Fire Science, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Criminal Justice.  Similar to the Certified Nursing Assistant training that the district has offered the last several years through its Health Occupations Clinical course, students working through the FVCC partnership will be transported offsite to participate in these courses.  Buses will leave from EAHS at 7:10 each morning returning by period 3b for student lunch. Students will earn a full academic credit each semester they successfully pass their course. Courses may also count towards transferable credit at Waubonsee Community College. As it will be the pilot year for this partnership, space will be limited to fewer than 30 members of senior class. Qualified students will have a demonstrated pattern of excellent attendance, no behavioral concerns, strong academic standing, and the recommendation of their deans, counselors and social workers.  There is no cost for participation in this program.  Interested students should reach out to their school counselors.
