On October 24, East High administrators and teacher Rhonda Kinstner presented Tomcat senior Jose Carrillo with a 16″ x 20″ canvas print of his photo “Smooth Architecture.” The photo was awarded first place for Week One in the Kane County Regional Office of Education’s Kane County High School Student Photography Contest. Carrillo has had quite a run this semester, finishing in the contest’s Top 10 for multiple weeks. His first place photo finished first from over 265 submissions sent in from 13 schools. Jose is enrolled in Digital Photography at East High, taught by Rhonda Kinstner.
