The College and Career Center hosted a field trip to Northern Illinois University last Thursday for presentations and workshops sponsored by ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America).  The events kicked off with opening remarks from the College of Business’s Dean Balaji Rajagopalan.  ALPFA provided a brief presentation on “why college” followed with a rundown of the many business programs offered by NIU.  Four current NIU students then held panel discussions followed by a presentation on diversity in the workplace.  The event concluded with an alumni luncheon where Tomcat students enjoyed conversation with professional business people.  Thirty-nine students attended this event.
