On March 10th, the Oswegoland Optimist Club hosted their second year of the DHH Communication Contest, held at the Oswego Village Hall. Prior to the contest, the contestants worked hard to prepare their 4-5 minute speeches on the prompt “Is There a Fine Line Between Optimism and Reality?”
Two proud East Aurora Tomcats, Angel Zepeda (11th grade) and Katheryn Contreras (9th grade) competed for cash prizes and a chance to move on to the state competition in Bloomington, Normal on April 13. Kathy earned 4th place, and Angel earned 1st place and will now have the opportunity to compete at state competition!
Congratulations, Tomcats!
