If you are a new Cadet, welcome aboard!
If you are a returning Cadet welcome back!
If you are thinking about joining, we hope you do!
EAHS Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) is a unique and exciting experience in a student’s academic life. Our goal is that our Cadets are best prepared now and for life.
Who we are, what we do, and why we do it. The Tomcat Regiment was established in 1996. From those humble beginnings our unit has grown dramatically. Tens of thousands of students have been part of the Tomcat Regiment. This fall we have over 400 Cadets enrolled, about 10% of the EAHS student body. We are the largest unit in the Midwest and one of the largest in the nation. Our mission is to instill in our Cadets the values of citizenship, service, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. Our instructor staff consists of 5 retired US Navy professionals. We have over 100 years of leadership experience.
Cadets can participate on one or more of our eight teams. Cadets may perform and compete throughout the school year. Cadets can earn ribbons, medals, and trophies for participating. Our teams travel across the nation to compete.
Our Cadets perform approximately 16,000 hours of community service each year and participate in many communities and school volunteer service events. These events include: national holidays, local government, parades, cultural celebrations, festivals, campus open house and Tomcat sporting events. Our Color Guards is in high demand including high profile sporting and community events.
Parents: If you would like to be part of our unit as a booster, or if you have any questions please contact Chief Albert Farmer, afarmer@d131.org.
Students: If you would like to join, please contact your counselor directly.
