    • Seniors: No School April 9 and 10 (ACT and Pre ACT testing)
      • Any senior who has not taken the SAT should plan on taking the ACT on April 10
    • Saturday, April 26: Six Flags overnight trip
    • Monday, May 5 – Friday, May 16: AP Exams
    • Thursday, May 8: Cap and Gown pick-up during lunch periods
    • Tuesday May 13: Honors/Scholarship Night
    • Friday, May 16 and Monday, May 19: Senior Final Exams
    • Wednesday, May 21: Top 10% Banquet at Belle Salle Banquets

CAP AND GOWN ORDERING

  • Order Your Cap & Gown, Official Graduation Announcements and Senior Products! Order and Pay at www.HerffJonesIL.com
  • Call Herff Jones at 815-756-4743 to Order Now and Pay Later. Herff Jones Office hours are Monday – Friday, from 9am to 5pm
  • If you would like to pay for your Cap/Gown/Tassel here is the direct link. If you want to order other things, just click “continue shopping” on the bottom of the screen. 

CAP AND GOWN PICK UP

Most students picked up their caps and gowns on Thursday, May 8th 

  • The last chance for students to get their caps and gowns will be Thursday, May 30th, prior to graduation practice. Students will be required to complete their FAFSA form or the waiver.
  • CASH ONLY If money is still due at time of pick up, or you can pay by in advance by calling 815-756-4743. 

Six Flags Overnight Trip

  • Saturday, April 26th
  • Tickets are $90 and go on sale MARCH 31ST – APRIL 15TH AFTER SCHOOL in the main office. You MUST have the permission form completed (signed by dean) to buy a ticket.
  • Online Payments can be purchased through GoFan at: https://gofan.co/app/school/IL15412  
    • Please note: online cost is $95.50, and if a student becomes ineligible due to Social Probation, a refund will take 3-4 weeks, so please make sure to complete your permission form BEFORE you purchase online. 
  • Once you turn in the form, AND buy your ticket: You will receive an email invite to join the Six Flags Google Classroom. Accept the invite ASAP to get the updates, and have the Classroom app on your phone before Saturday!
  • Arrive on Saturday at Door 8, between 7:30pm and 7:45pm. Bus loading will begin before 7:45 pm. They will NOT wait for you, so be on time! Eat before you come to school. We don’t have food service until 11pm. Other important info will be listed in the Google Classroom, so check it out!

Prom 2025

    • Friday May 23rd at The Matrix Club in Naperville
    • You MUST complete the permission form BEFORE you buy a ticket
      • Tickets will be on sale APRIL 28TH- May 14TH  
      •  ($90 first week, $100 second week) 
    • Attendance matters! Anyone on social probation MUST complete an improvement plan with their dean and IMPROVE PRIOR to Spring Break (and stay off probation)
    • Guest pass forms are in main office and rooms 182/362
    • Seniors: Opportunities for discounted tickets are available based on 3rd quarter attendance being 95% and no social probation.

Start Times

Exams have local start times and can begin up to one hour after the official start time. During the regularly scheduled exam administration, exams can begin between:

  • 8 and 9 a.m. local time for morning exams.
  • 12 and 1 p.m. local time for afternoon exams.

Exams with Digital Portfolios

  • AP Seminar and AP Research students: April 30, 2025 (11:59 p.m. ET), is the deadline to submit performance tasks as final and for your presentations to be scored by your AP Seminar or AP Research teacher. 
  • AP Computer Science Principles students: April 30, 2025 (11:59 p.m. ET), is the deadline to submit your Create performance task as final. 
  • AP Art and Design students: May 9, 2025 (8 p.m. ET), is the deadline to submit your 3 portfolio components as final in the AP Digital Portfolio.

Senior Final Exams

Senior Final Exams Schedule:

    • *Friday, May 16th – Black Block Classes 
    • *Monday, May 19th – Red Block Classes
    • Makeup exam by Appointment

Laptop/Laptop Charger Turn-In

  • Following final exams on May 19, seniors will turn in their laptops and chargers. Large bins are being delivered to senior classrooms, as well as sticker sheets with students’ individual information (name, ID, and a barcode) on them.
  • Following the 7/8 block final exam, teachers will hand out the stickers to students, who should place them on their laptops and then place their laptops and charger cords into the bins. Students that know they will be attending summer school may keep their devices for the time being.
  • For seniors with early release, IT will be in the Atrium. 
  • Students have received an email to their school email address with this information.

Graduation Rehearsal

  • Thursday, May 30thMANDATORY Graduation Rehearsal
    • 1:30 PM – Enter through Door 8
    • If you do not attend, you cannot walk at NIU

Graduation

Graduation – 1:30 PM @ NIU Convocation Center

      • MANDATORY Graduation Rehearsal (here at East High) is on Thursday, May 29th at 3:30pm
        • See your counselor prior to rehearsal if you are unsure about meeting graduation requirements. 
    • Graduation tickets will be distributed at rehearsal; each student will receive 6 tickets. 
    • Extra tickets will be distributed on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis on Friday, May 30th  from each student will received 3 tickets: Please use Door 8 from 9:30- 2:15 ONLY and the  Main Office from 3:30-4:30 pm ONLY.  (No tickets will be issued from 2:15pm till 3:30 pm)
    • All graduates MUST ride the bus to the NIU Convocation Center. You may go home with your family/friends AFTER graduation. 
      • Students should arrive at Door 8 by 10:30 AM
      • LAST BUS will depart at 11:15 AM

    Families interested in bus transportation to and from the NIU Convocation Center can visit the East Aurora High School website to reserve seats. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, May 15. Graduates can ride home with their family on the “Family Bus” back to Aurora.
