East High hosts National Hispanic College FairEast High hosts National Hispanic College Fair

As it has for the last several years, on October 3, 2019, East Aurora High School once again played host to the National Hispanic College Fair.  Representatives from dozens of colleges and universities were on hand to meet with thousands of high school students, not just from East High , but from over twenty other local high schools as well..  East High teachers were encouraged to bring their classes and study halls to the EAHS Field House to expose their students to a number of different college and scholarship opportunities. The National Hispanic College Fair has become an eagerly anticipated yearly tradition at East Aurora High School. The mission of these fairs is tor provide access to a population that has been historically marginalized in the college admission process. From their website:

“Our college fairs bring representatives from a broad range of colleges/universities and vocational training institutions to high school juniors and seniors, providing them a unique opportunity to become aware of their many options and to compare the offerings of participating institutions. We strive to provide students with current available scholarship and grant information. We have partnered with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund to help us achieve our goals of helping minority students gain the widest access to the resources available to them.”
