NJROTC Pass in Review Ceremony November 14Pase-En-Revisión de NJROTC Ceremonia 14 de noviembre

East Aurora High School invites the community to attend the annual NJROTC Pass in Review ceremony on Wednesday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. at East Aurora High School in the Kivisto Gymnasium, 500 Tomcat Lane. Visitors should enter through Door 15 near the Ponquinette Fieldhouse.

The event will be conducted in both English and Spanish, and will include an opening ceremony by the NJROTC Color Guard, with performances by the drill team, dance, drum and bugle team, as well as the ceremonial Pass-In-Review by the senior class.  

The event will also feature an exciting “Knock Out Drill” competition. Approximately 50 cadets will be given specific commands. Any variance from the exact military specifications for that command will knock the cadet out of the competition, until one student is named the champion.

The Pass in Review is a formal time-honored military ceremony that dates back before the Civil War. It honors cadets’ hard work and dedication. The ceremony ties together the future of the Navy with the naval customs and traditions.

Prior to the public ceremony, Captain Mike Flynn will conduct the annual military inspection of the cadets at East Aurora High School during the school day.

La Escuela Preparatoria del Este de Aurora invita a la comunidad a asistir a la ceremonia anual de revisión de NJROTC, el miércoles 14 de noviembre a las 6:30 p.m., en la Escuela Preparatoria del Este de Aurora; en el Gimnasio Kivisto, ubicado en 500 Tomcat Lane. Los invitados deben entrar por la puerta 15, cerca al pabellón deportivo Ponquinette (Field House).  

El evento será conducido en inglés y en español. Este evento incluirá la ceremonia de apertura del Portaestandarte NJROTC y las presentaciones del equipo de entrenamiento y el equipo de baile, tambores y corneta; así como el protocolo de Pase-En-Revisión de la clase senior.

El evento también presentará la competencia de “fase eliminatoria” (Knock Out Drill). Aproximadamente 50 cadetes recibirán ordenes específicas. Cualquier divergencia en las especificaciones militares exactas de esa orden, eliminará al cadete de la competencia, hasta que se nombre a un estudiante como el campeón.

El pase-en-revisión es un momento formal para honrar la ceremonia militar que se remonta a antes de la Guerra Civil. Reconoce el esfuerzo y dedicación de los cadetes. La ceremonia relaciona el futuro de la fuerza naval con las costumbres y tradiciones navales.

Previo a la ceremonia pública, el Capitán Mike Flynn conducirá la inspección militar anual de los cadetes de la Escuela Preparatoria del Este de Aurora, durante la jornada escolar.
